Class and refund policy
The drama trial
A live class on Google Meet for $15 USD, with up to 10 learners. Check the start and end times on your booking.
Complete beginners can join. You do not need to read Korean, and we do not do reading activities. We focus on listening, repeating, and speaking together. A little study beforehand can help if you have time.
Limited complimentary trials
A limited number of complimentary places are available to visitors connecting from the US, selected European countries, Australia, and New Zealand. Eligible visitors see the free registration option automatically. Up to three complimentary places share each class’s total capacity of ten. Your place is reserved when your registration succeeds; no separate invitation link, payment, or email verification is required.
One complimentary trial per email address. The same email cannot claim another free trial, including after cancellation. If you cannot attend, cancel through your personal booking page before class. No refund applies because no payment is taken. Contact Joy if your location was detected incorrectly or Joy cancels the class.
Taking part
Please come ready to speak aloud, even if your Korean is imperfect. Your camera and microphone must be on for class activities. You cannot participate with them off.
A laptop or desktop computer is required. Our speaking practice program cannot run on a phone. Check your computer, camera, microphone, and Google Meet settings before class.
Refunds
You can request a full refund until 11:59 PM on the day before class, in Korea Standard Time (Asia/Seoul). There are no refunds on the class date or for missed classes. With only 10 places, please book when you can attend.

Use the request form on your personal booking page, or email aawharg@gmail.com with the email address you booked with. Joy handles refunds through PayPal to your original payment method. A saved request is not a completed refund.
Your confirmation and class link
After PayPal confirms payment, we email your booking confirmation and the essentials for joining. Your Google Meet link will arrive before class. Keep your confirmation email to open your booking without a website account.
The waiting list and four-week course
Joining the waiting list is free. It does not reserve a paid place. We use your preferred days, times, and time zone to let you know about suitable classes.
We plan to start a four-week course the week after the trial. Details will follow. Buying the trial does not sign you up for the course or create a subscription.
Earlier bookings
If you booked one of our earlier speaking classes under the previous policy, your original price and refund terms still apply. Contact Joy with your booking details if you need a copy.
